Kurdistan: Kurdish individual from Mahbad sentenced to 10 months imprisonment for connection with Kurdish operations

Wahab Khediripour, a Kurdish civilian from Mahabad, has been sentenced to ten months of imprisonment by the branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court in Mahabad.
According to an informed source, Mr. Xediripour has been charged with "collaborating with a Kurdish opposition political party” This sentence was officially announced and communicated to Mr. Xediripour in the beginning of April 2025.
Wahab Xediripour was called in to the intelligence agency in Mahabad and subsequently apprehended without demonstrating any warrant or evidence of any crime committed
He was transferred to the Mahabad central prison following the conclusion of his interrogation by the Intelligence agency in Mahabad.
On Wednesday, February 19, 2025, Wahab Khadiripour was released after posting a bail of 500 million tomans.
Previously, on Saturday, January26, 2025, security forces had raided Mr. Khadiripour’s residence in an attempt to arrest him but due to the presence of many other witnesses at his residence, the authorities had asked him to be present at court on the following Monday.
Mr. Khadiripour is married with two children. He is a cousin of Shamal Khadiripour a victim of the “Jin, Jian, Azadi” (women, life, freedom) movement who was killed by Iranian police. One of Wahab Khadiripour’s brother by the name Sohrab a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in Iran was also killed by Iranian armed forces in spring of 2021.
