Kurdistan: Arbitrary arrested, released on bail waiting trials of 6 Kurdish innocents in Sine (Sanandaj)

On Saturday, April 5, 2025, five Kurdish detainees, Asad Babakerami from the village of Gawere(Gav darrah) residing in Sine (Sanandaj), Mahmoud Nadari from the village of “Dadaneh Kamangar” in the Kalatrzan district, Mostafa Hejbari from the village of Qoliyan in Sanandaj, and Saheb (Ariwan) Shakeri and Ahmad Saedi from Sanandaj, were temporarily released from Sanandaj prison after posting bail.
Additionally, on Saturday, April 5, 2025, Shenu Mohammadi, the spouse of Saheb Shakeri, was also released from detention under similar conditions after posting bail.
According to a reliable sources, each individual was granted temporary release upon posting bail of 500 million tomans, pending legal proceedings.
According to the Kurdistan Human Rights Association-Geneva on Sunday, March 23, 2025, Shenu Mohammadi, a 31 years old with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, and her husband Saheb (Ariwan) Shakeri, a 32 years old with a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, were apprehended without a judicial warrant at their residence during a raid by the Iranian security forces in Hajjiabad neighborhood in Sine (Sanandaj).
On the same day, Mostafa Hejbari was also detained by security forces without a legal warrant.
On Saturday, March 22, 2025, Asad Babakerami was arrested by security forces for participation in Newroz celebrations in the village of Gawere(Gav darrah).
Moreover, Mahmoud Nadari, a”from the village of Dadaneh Kamangar, was arrested for the second time by the Intelligence Agency of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) two weeks after his release on bail, following a summons to the intelligence agency.
Ahmad Saedi was also detained in early April 2025 without a judicial warrant by Iranian security forces.
The above individuals were reportedly arrested in connection with the celebration of Newroz festivities, highlighting ongoing concerns regarding the treatment of individuals participating in cultural events within the Kurdistan region.
